I had the Dog Watch system installed at my mom’s house for her two dogs and they love their new found freedom. I have an Invisible Fence system from 2002 and I was done with their outrageous fees, it’s a huge inconvenience to have to drive to them in Salisbury. My mother’s dog’s come up to my house a lot and I dog sit my cousins dog. We live on about 2 acres of open land and I didn’t want to have to worry about Max or Pharoah running off after deer, bears or the neighborhood barn cats. I called invisible fence because I would need two brand new collars because my German Shepherd’s collar wouldn’t fit and the receivers are for stubborn dogs. New collars with Invisible Fence would be over $300, each plus they would charge a fee for the first 15 minutes to program the collars AND an additional outrageous fee to do training. I was furious! So, I called Rob and asked if he could help. Unfortunately, Invisible Fence brand makes sure they are the only one’s to maintenance the collars. I told Rob, “Ok, I’m done with them, come switch Invisible Fence to Dog Watch.” He was there two days later. It was fabulous! So quick and easy. He swapped out the box, placed the flags and tested the wire. Done. I requested Liz again to do the training because I knew she would be a great fit for Pharoah. She really knows how to interact with dog’s so they aren’t afraid of her after she trains. She came over a couple of times to train over the weekend with Pharoah, Max is very smart and saw the flags and stayed away from them. Pharoah got shocked a few times, but now he is running free. I don’t have to worry about his long line getting wrapped around the tree or around his legs. The long line has already caused an injury. If you have an Invisible Fence and sick of all the fees and limitations with that brand, it’s time to upgrade. The absolute BEST feature that I love is the fact that I can control the settings on the collar. We plan on getting more dogs, so it will be nice to not have to drive 1.5 hours away or pay a service charge to have Invisible Fence to adjust the settings as the pup gets older and more confident.
